Medical Leave Does Not Protect an Employee who Violates Company Policy
An employer can terminate an employee for violating company policy, even if the employee has only recently returned from medical leave, provided the company has a good-faith belief that a violation has occurred and the termination is in no way related to the employee’s medical leave.  King v. UPS, Inc. (2007) 152 Cal. App. 4th 426
