| EEOC Revises Age Discrimination Rules |
|
The EEOC has revised the age discrimination rules in order to allow employers to favor older workers over younger workers. The rule changes are in response to the 2004 Supreme Court decision in General Dynamics Land Systems Inc. v. Cline which held that the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) only prohibits age discrimination against older employees, and does not prohibit an employer from making decisions which favor older wokers.
