| Stricter Child Labor Laws Expected from Department of Labor |
|
The child labor provisions of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act are expected to be significantly altered. Among the expected changes are an expansion of the list of jobs which are considered “hazardous” and an expansion of the employment opportunities in industries such as banking, advertising, and information technology.
