Home Care Workers Not Subject to FLSA Minimum Wage & Overtime Provisions
The US Supreme Court has held that workers who provide home-care custodial and companionship services for elderly and disabled persons are not entitled to minimum wage or overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.  See Long Island Care at Home v. Coke (2007) 127 S. Ct. 2339
